Welcome to Pack 175!

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 175

Pack 175 is a Cub Scout Pack in Michigan within the Water and Woods Council, Rivers North District. We are a large, active pack with around 50 boys registered yearly. Traditionally, we carry at least two Den's per rank, per grade level (first through fifth). In 2017, we are continuing to take part in the Council's Pilot of the Lion Program for Kindergarten! A very exciting add to our Cub Scout Pack!

Registration:
Registration for our Pack occurs in September with new scouts needing to be paid-in-full by the end of the month. The Pack provides each boy their neckerchief and slide to get them started on their way. Optionally, parents may purchase the Cub Scout Handbook. Parents are responsible for purchasing the scouts uniform (shirt and belt minimum) and any patches that are non-awards specific (Council patch, Pack No's, den patch, etc).

Fees and Dues:
The yearly registration fee and our percentage of popcorn sales provides the boys their awards (all, regardless of the number earned), rank badges, and any special patches they may earn (such as Leave No Trace). It may also include payment for some of the events for the boys, but this is not guaranteed. Once the yearly fee is paid, no dues are required.

Pack Organization:
The Pack meets once a month for a Pack Meeting and/or Pack Event. Our Pack holds an overnight campout every year, which is traditionally in the fall, but could also be in the Spring. Den's typically meet twice a month as well, but this is subject to change depending on what the Den is currently working towards. The Pack also holds a Committee meeting once a month as well as a few planning meetings over the Summer.
It is our goal to help each scout Do Their Best while instilling the core values of Cub Scouting in each boy.

The Core Values of Cub Scouting are:

 Citizenship

 Compassion

 Cooperation

 Courage

 Faith

 Health & Fitness

 Honesty

 Perseverance

 Positive Attitude

 Resourcefulness

 Respect

 Responsibility

We hope you'll join Pack 175 and enjoy your time in Scouting!
