WHAT IS DAY CAMP?
This year the local day camp will be held as a "Twilight Camp" which will run from about 5:30P-8:30P Monday-Friday and allow for more parent and leader participation. Day Camp is a great summer activity for Cub Scouts which welcomes boys and girls and their families. It is a week-long experience for all registered Cub Scouts going into the K thru 5th grades in fall of 2019. Day Camp is where Cub Scouts can shoot BB guns, bows and arrows, learn about nature, do leather-work and crafts, play games, sing songs, and do many more activities. Leaders and Scouts alike have a great time. Cost includes T-Shirt, Program, Patch and Snack.

WHAT ABOUT LEADERSHIP?
Pack Leadership & parents are encouraged to participate, den walkers and helpers need to complete the free volunteer training online. All Tiger Cubs (Starting 1st Grade) must be accompanied by an adult. Packs may be required to provide adult leadership and will be notified if necessary. No adults pay a fee. Adults who plan to spend five days at camp, and whose application is received two weeks before camp starts, will receive a free t-shirt. Scouts should register with their pack. Siblings 11 and older are able to participate as helpers in the camp.

WHAT ABOUT YOUNGER CHILDREN?
A special area called the Lil’ Buddy Camp is available for younger children of adults who are serving as Den Walkers and Staff members. Parents must be at Camp for their child to attend. A nominal fee of $25 covers the entire week or for any combination of days. T-Shirt, and activities will be provided. Children must be potty-trained. You are required to preregister your Lil’ Buddy.

HOW TO REGISTER?
Camp directors will attend the April 8th pack meeting to give more information and supply applications, this is a good time to register and pay for your scout to attend camp. You can also print the applications out and bring them to your scout shop before the deadline, the scout shop should also have applications available but please call before. All attendees of the camp need a medical form on file. If you filled one out for your scout within the last 12 months please contact our secretary Jennifer Willis (jennifer.edlin@hotmail.com) to confirm its on file and up to date for June.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS NOT A SCOUT? All scout aged youth must be registered into the national BSA system and paid for 2019 registration fees, younger children must have an active scout sibling. To register your child for BSA this summer it would be an additional $29 (May-Dec) for the remainder of the year in addition to the $70 camp fee. You will need to register your application under a local pack but will not be required to participate further if you decide scouting isn't for your family. Pack 705 welcomes all scouts in the area from any school but you are welcome to check out other packs in the area as well. https://beascout.scouting.org/
