You should strongly consider packing everything inside a giant trash bag, and packing clothing in zip-lock bags, either sorted by day or clothing type.

You could also download the backpacking checklist PDF file created by REI. Keep in mind that when you go backpacking, you want to pack light. Always be sure to have the 10 essentials, and then use your best judgment, based on the time of year and expected weather, to round out your packing.
