Cub Scout Belt Loop Day 2014, by Troop 314

All Cub Scouts and their parents were invited to join us for a morning of fun, food, and BELT LOOPS! The Cub Scouts Academics and Sports program is to be retired in 2015, so we wanted to provide Cubs a chance to earn them before they go away!

And best of all, it was FREEEEE!!

LOCATION: Eastwood Elementary School, 13552 University Street, Westminster, CA 92683
DIRECTIONS: EES is south of the 405 Fwy, north of Westminster Blvd, and east of Bolsa Chica Rd.

Most of the Belt Loops don't require the Cubs to bring anything, but we suggest the following:
For BASEBALL: Bring your glove.
For BASKETBALL: If you have a basketball, bring it.

We provided free hot dogs, chips, and soda/water for lunch.

Don't forget:
Cubs of all levels (Tiger to Webelos) are welcome to attend, but
Tiger Cubs must work with their parents or adult partners.
Parents and partners do not earn loops or pins.

NOTE: Actual belt loops will not be awarded at this event; that remains the responsibility of the Den Leaders.

An RSVP is not required, but would be appreciated. Please send email using the "Contact Our Troop" link at the top of this webpage.

Camporee 2013

The 2013 Camporee was held at Firestone Scout Reservation, in Diamond Bar.

We built our signature lookout tower. It is constructed on its side, then raised to vertical.

The boys are taught to run the tower, which involves belaying the "guests" as they climb up:

But of course the Troop 314 boys love to climb the tower themselves, and "camp" on the top:
