Getting Started!

width=
Welcome to Pack 920!

This is going to be a fun ride! We hope you have a great time being a member of our Pack.

To get started, you'll want to:

1.  Get the uniform
(see details below for LionTiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos)
2.  Get the handbook
(see details below for Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos)
3.  Familiarize yourself with your Den
4.  Start on the Bobcat requirements!

Cub Scouting, as a part of the BSA program, is a uniform-wearing organization.  Therefore, it is a BSA requirement that each Cub Scout and Adult Leader who belongs to Pack 920  wears the appropriate, complete uniform for his/her rank or position.  The Cub Scout uniforms help build pride, loyalty, and self-respect.  Wearing the uniform to all pack meetings and activities also encourages a neat appearance, a sense of belonging, and good behavior.

Uniforms may be purchased at the Bobby Lyle Billy Gamble Scout Shop in Fairview, ordered online at Scoutstuff.org, or at John D. Murchison Scout Shop in the Circle Ten Office in Dallas. They will help you get everything you need and will give you the insignia placement form as a guide. We also have a Pack Uniform Closet containing "experienced" uniform components, should you wish to check that first.

There is no need for you to purchase earned patches, pins, belt loops, rank insignia, or badges. Pack dues and fundraising cover most of the
advancements, recognition, and awards your Cub Scout will earn.

See the Guide to Awards and Insignia for patch placement.  For more details contact your Den Leader or contact us here!

Webelos Uniform

The Webelos handbook and uniform details are listed below.  Webelos Scouts should transition to the tan/olive uniform similar to the one that Scouts BSA wear.

For the tan/olive uniform, scouts wear olive pants or shorts and official tan long - or short-sleeved shirt with blue shoulder loops. Olive green socks are worn with the tan/olive uniform.

Webelos Scouts should wear the Webelos neckerchief (plaid with the Webelos emblem), Webelos neckerchief slide (handmade slides are also acceptable), and Webelos cap.  Webelos Scouts may wear the olive Boy Scouts of America belt or continue to wear the blue Cub Scout belt with Webelos belt buckle.  Note that only the blue belt will hold the adventure loops that were earned as Cub Scouts.  Webelos Scouts may also want to wear the Webelos colors (gold, red, and green ribbon) on their right sleeve to display their earned adventure pins.  Adventure pins can also be worn on the Webelos cap.
